Opinum Data Hub 6.0
Release date: 13 February in ODH EU and 15 February in ODH US
This major release allows users to manage reports with differents rights, have all access to alarms and to usage page.
New rights management for reports
The reports are now managed more closely with the dashboards rights, while introducing an additional layer of control.
There is now four distinct permissions for reports:
- Private
- Shared
- Public read-only
- Public and editable
We've migrated the existing reports into those new permissions, with the following rule:
- Reports with a single user are migrated as Private with this user as administrator.
- Reports to which all account users have access are migrated as Public and editable.
- All other reports are migrated to Shared admin for all account managers and the creator of the reports if still exists.
Important
Unused reports were not migrated, according to the following rules:
- Reports that did not run in 2023
- Reports which users no longer existed
We've also improved custom reports so they can express local time.

Alarms available for all clients
The alarms that were available for few clients are now available for all accounts. We will decommission alerts this year, in favor of alarms, which are more efficient and offer greater functionality.
But, what's the difference betwen alerts & alarms ?
- Alarms are status-based: they are triggered once only when a threshold is crossed.
- Alarms can be created by templates, allowing you to cover several sources of a single view with a single template (rather than creating 1 alarm per source).
- Alarms can be acknowledged.
- Alarms histories can be cleared.
- Alarm status can be displayed in graphs.
- Like alerts, alarms manage frequencies, notifications, exceptions and schedules.

Usage page available for all clients
The usage page allows to track KPIs of Data Hub usage that are likely to have an impact on billing. The data of usage are given as an indication and may differ from the actual usage taken into account on your invoice. This page is now available on all account.

Source sharing end
Version 6.0 marks the end of source sharing, for security reasons.
The variables from shared sources were not visible in the usage page. Since the sources have been separated, there are 2 possible scenarios:
- Customer sources that were shared between 2 accounts have been unshared and duplicated on each accounts and their variables are now taken into account in the usage page. Customers have been warned individually.
- The data set sources shared by Opinum have also been unshared, but for the time being they are identified as "non-billable" and are not taken into account in the Usage page. They may be in the futur.

Technical migration
The migration to microservices is completed with version 6.0:
- Migration of Alarms service in microservice.
- Migration of Reports service in microservice.
- Migration of Alerts service in microservice.
- End of migration of Bulk in microservice.
- Migration of Indexis service in microservice.
We have migrated our deployment tools to facilitate on-premise deployments.
End of smartcom gateway support
We update our servers whenever necessary for cyber security, for example with the migrations below. It turns out that since this last update, the smartcom software no longer seems to work.
The company that manufactures smartcom unfortunately stopped selling this solution several years ago. There is therefore no possible solution for upgrading the smartcom gateway.
As a consequence the sources based on smartcom gateways can't receive data anymore.
