Excel definition of Master Data

The Master Data Excel® file definition is composed of 2 distinct files: the template file and the upload file. The template file contains the definition of the structure of the upload file and also some transformations that the MDE must apply to the data.

The template file file must either be uploaded in the Opinum Data Hub account's storage prior to the first upload of a data file or be included in the data file. When a data file is uploaded and the template is not included in the data file, the MDE searches for the most recent template file existing in the Opinum Data Hub storage belonging to the account that the upload file refers to and processes the data according to the content of both files. At each stage, the MDE can call a customization executable provided that the CustomizationAssembly config value was provided.
